Pringle Bay is seriously the sweetest little town! Thanks to our journalism coordinator Martine, we were able to snag a cottage there for the long weekend. We went with few expectations, a lot of good food, and endless energy (as usual), and had an absolute blast.
The drive along the coast from Cape Town is stunning! When we arrived in PB we ran down to the beach just in time to see the sun setting behind the misty clouds. An evening of reading Harry Potter aloud, playing games, and eating yummy veggies followed.
The following day we woke up to fresh croissants from the bakery in town and steaming cups of coffee. This group is really into hiking (yay!) so we headed for the hills as soon as we were fed and sunscreened. The hike was spectacular — lots of climbing, but the view at the top was sooo worth it!
The rest of the day consisted of wandering in and out of the shops in town, meandering along dirt roads, reading HP, and of course, drinking lots of wine — what else is new!
Sunday we visited the Harold Porter Botanical Gardens and then headed back to town. Along the way we stopped at The Creamery, supposedly the best ice-cream in Cape Town. It did not disappoint!
